The principal house on the estate is the oldest in the Matale region, bordering Kandy in the heart of Sri Lanka. Over two levels, it offers four very generously-sized bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms, and large living and drawing rooms. A wide verandah at the front of the house looks over a pool that itself has views across jungle and to the valley below the property.

The current owners have developed further, adding a four-bedroom guest bungalow as well as a smaller two-bedroom villa - both entirely self-contained with kitchen and comfortable living areas. A managers house with three bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and driver accommodation makes up the abundant set.

Lying just to the East of Matale the property is on the fringes of the beautiful Knuckles Mountains and at an altitude - approximately 600m above sea level - to give a very pleasant temperature year round.

The house and estate sit very much on the tourist ‘trail’ that leads Southwards from the Cultural Triangle between Sigiriya and Kandy and has proved popular for visitors making that journey.

The development of the Central Expressway reaching up to and now beyond Kurunegala lessens the journey time to Colombo - now approximately three hours drive away. Kandy itself is less than an hour’s drive.
